If the list of FAQ's doesn't answer all your questions - please give us call. We would be more than happy to help you.

Does my child have to be potty trained?

No, we allow our younger students to be in diapers. We also offer a potty tracker program where we assist your child with their potty training.

At what age do you start accepting new students?

We start accepting new students at the age of 2 years old.

Can you ever take a child younger than 2 years?

Yes, on occasions we can accept a child at 22 months upon approval from our Licensing Department.

What measures do you take to secure your campus?

The entry gates are secured with a coded entry system that requires an assigned number to be entered into our lock system to grant access to the campus.

What is your child/teacher ratio for the classrooms?

Our 2 year old classrooms have 6 students to 1 teacher. All other classrooms have 12 students to 1 teacher. We also have additional “Floater Teachers” on site to handle potty training, diapering and other needs of the teachers or students.

What will be the age range of students in my child’s class?

All students are usually within 8 months of each other in the assigned classroom.

Are your teachers educated?

All of our teachers hold a certificate in Early Childhood Education from their college, while some of those teachers hold a BA degree. On a side note, several of our teachers have been teaching for over 15 years.

Are your teachers background checked?

Our entire staff, including all assistants and aides are all fingerprinted and cleared by the Department of Social Services to work in our facility.

When my child’s teacher is absent, who will be teaching my child?

All of our “Floating Teachers” are fully educated and qualified teachers that can step into the classroom to substitute for a teacher who is absent. The students will already be familiar with their substitute teacher because they are with us every day serving as assistants to our program.

What type of spiritual education will you be doing?

Our emphasis will be focused on our Lord and Savior Jesus. We will teach the students about the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and how one can accept Him as their Lord and Savior.

Are you considered to be an academic school or a daycare?

Our program is geared for school readiness, and the classroom setting is structured to provide opportunities for each child to grow in his/her abilities to learn skills that will prepare the way for a lifetime in a school setting. We strive to provide activities that will enhance every area of development and to make learning FUN and exciting in the process!

Do you utilize any curriculum materials?

Yes, we use a program called “Self Pronouncing Alphabet” (S.P.A.), and we use “Abeka” for our reading readiness and math learning. Most of our Pre-Kindergarten students are able to read up to four letter words. [Read more...]

What do you do to motivate the students?

All of our classrooms have what is called a “Positive Discipline Plan” in which every child has a sticker card posted on the wall in the classroom and are awarded stickers for many things they do throughout the day. We have found this to be very successful in motivating the students to enjoy the process of learning and be excited about their day. In addition to this, we also utilize “prizes” for students acquiring a certain amount of “good day” awards as another incentive for students to interact in a positive way.

What do you do for discipline?

Most discipline is handled directly in the classroom by the teacher through a simple “time-out” away from the group for the child to think about what he/she needs to remember. Most of the time, this is all that is needed and we have found that we don’t have many “serious” discipline problems in our classrooms. We believe it is because of the positive reinforcement process that we utilize in our rooms by awarding our students for all the positive things they do. However, if a child is exhibiting behavior that can be harmful to another child (i.e. biting, hitting, etc), the child will be referred to the school office for the director to be aware of the situation and parents will be informed.

Do you accept state funding?

No, we are not contracted to accept funding from any state or federal organizations.

Can I use a credit card to pay for my child’s tuition?

We do not accept credit cards at this time. You may pay your child’s tuition with a check or cash.

Does the school provide lunch?

No, the school provides morning & afternoon snack. We ask that the parents provide their child’s lunch.

Can you warm up lunches?

No, we are not able to warm up lunches. We recommend small thermos containers for any food you want to keep warm.

Can my child eat breakfast at school?

Students who are dropped off early are allowed to eat their breakfast from 7:15 - 7:55am.

Does my child need to bring their own blanket for naptime?

All of the students use the same type of blanket that we call a “Nap Quilt”. You will purchase this directly from the school.
